Questions
Can’t find yours? Contact us and we’ll help.
Is RTO Buddy the official Vahan website?
No. RTO Buddy is an independent service. For official work, like a transfer or a new RC, use the official Vahan website or your RTO.
What does a Vahan check show?
The owner (partly hidden), model, fuel, registration date and RTO, RC status, insurance, PUC, fitness, tax, any loan, and pending challans.
Is it free?
Yes. Checking a vehicle is free and needs no sign-up.
Can I check any vehicle?
Yes, any vehicle registered in India, including BH‑series numbers.
Why is the owner’s name partly hidden?
To protect the owner’s privacy. You see enough to match it with the RC.
The details are wrong. What can I do?
Only your RTO can correct a record. Apply at your RTO or on the official Vahan website.
